OPENING IN 2013!
This image shows what our 16,000 square-foot "green" building will look like from State Street. What do you think?

Can you see the Railroad Depot off to the right? The Depot is one of the Santa Barbara's historic landmarks. Do you see the small building next to ours with the red tile roof? For many years, this building was used as a bunkhouse for the railroad signalmen. That's why it's called the Signalman's Building.

We're continuing to make great progress on our plans to create the very best Children's Museum for our community. The City Council has voted unanimously to designate our project a Community Priority and the City has spent over $600,000 of Redevelopment Agency funds to prepare the site for our building.

We've also completed  many important studies over the past year: parking, traffic, acoustic, and historic structures report. We've also completed our building and landscape plans and are beginning to develop plans for our exhibits.

You can vote for your favorite kind of exhibit to the right.
