At the March 2010 Annual Meeting, the Board of Directors of the Children’s Museum of Santa Barbara elected Jill Levinson to serve as President. Other officers also elected include Chris Kroes, 1st Vice President, Laura Ragan, 2nd Vice President, Nancy Sheldon, Secretary, and Scott Hadley, Treasurer.

Following the unanimous election, Mrs. Levinson stated: “I have long dreamed of creating a children's museum in my home town. I am honored to be working with our Board to complete this important, and very much needed, project for the children and families of Santa Barbara.”

 

A Santa Barbara native, Jill earned a BA in Psychology at Stanford University with an emphasis on child behavior and development. She went on to produce content for film, television, and the internet, most notably with Lucasfilm and HBO. She returned to her home town to produce a family with three children. Jill is an active community volunteer, serving as a trustee of Lotusland and the Granada's Santa Barbara Center for the Performing Arts.
